Hanoi Mirror House

Recently, the Mirror House is changed to a fascinate ceramic mosaic tiles seascape in Hanoi’s Reunion Park . Tremendous sea murals is capturing the World famous Ha Long Bay and Truong Sa waves cover the entire exterior of the house. The interior takes the visitor on a magical undersea journey showcasing sea life using 3D mosaic murals with more than 50 mirrors adding delight for everybody. The snail shape of the house provides a unique setting for exploring the magic and beauty of sea.

Shelter Pack

ShelterPack is a flat pack, easy to transport shelter which is 12 square meter and easy to assemble- can be built in just few hours. It can sustain a family of four for months following a disaster. Every unit features 4 single beds, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, and foldable dining table and storage spaces. Since the system is out of touch with ground, heat loss from the floor and blowing in wind are avoided. With its angle adjustable legs, system can be installed in sloping lands as well.

PeeFence

Every year festivals and outdoor events alike are plagued by the intense stench that visitors leave behind when they pass water in the fence as a consequence of lacking toilet facilities. PeeFence is a flexible urinal which is easily set up in great quantities. It consists of a 1 mm tough and lightweight plastic membrane which is foldable for efficient storage and effortless setup. PeeFence is folded on site to establish the trough where the urine can flow and then mounted on fence by only four plastic strips. With PeeFence, it has never been easier to implement sanitation at outdoor events!

SteriPak

SteriPak is a kit that converts end of life gas cylinders into autoclaves for sterilising medical and baby equipment. Each kit costs less than 10USD. SteriPak empowers the community as the conversion itself provides work for locals that does not rely on specialised equipment. Many clinics in sub Saharan Africa are forced to reuse surgical equipment like scalpels and forceps due to their expense. SteriPak only requires water and a heat source to achieve safe, consistent sterilisation of this equipment to lower infant mortality rates and increase overall quality of life.

Compact and cost-effective, Donation Point Tap is portable and small in footprint. The pre-set donation amount can be changed at any time through the online Quest Cloud EFTPOS website. Donation Point Tap processes a ‘set’ donation amount such as $2. Donors simply tap their card to make a donation. Donation Point Tap can be placed on a retail counter or in store with charity partners such as supermarkets or cafes.

Tactile supports for wayfinding

The bachelor thesis (ISIA Urbino, supervisor: Luciano Perondi) investigates the problem of accessibility within the graphical representation of space and takes the form of a tactile artefact accessible to the blind and visually impaired. The goal is to make the geography of an area available both in economic as well as content terms, thanks to the combination of a low-cost printing technique and a specific representative approach. The project consists of a set of tactile maps and a research programme that documents the design process and the first phase of testing with blind people.
